Uranium
The key personnel involved in these projects remain part of ACA Howe. After the slowdown in uranium exploration in the 1980's and 90's Howe's uranium experience is once again being utilised by its clients in Saskatchewan, Slovakia, the United States, Peru and Kyrgyzstan for both exploration and resource estimation projects.
In the 1960's Howe Canada was involved in a number of exploration projects in the quartz pebble conglomerates of the Elliot Lake camp and the pegmatites of southern Quebec. More importantly, in the 1970's, Howe devised and managed the exploration programme in the Northern Territory of Australia that led to the discovery of the world-class unconformity-related Jabiluka deposit for Pancontinental Mining.
Our UK Managing Director has also spent several years as Chief Geologist for British Nuclear Fuels selecting and managing uranium projects on behalf of the British nuclear power programme.
