Dr Cal Armstrong BSc PhD
Managing Director
Cal Armstrong graduated in geology from Manchester University in 1965 and from the University of
Western Ontario in 1969. After a period of work in Canada and Australia, he became Chief Geologist for British Nuclear
Fuels, selecting targets for their worldwide uranium exploration programme. He has been Managing Director of A C A Howe
International Limited in the UK for the past 20 years.
Dr David Patrick BSc PhD FIMM CEng
Technical Director
Dave Patrick gained a BSc in geology at Manchester University in 1967 and a PhD in geochemistry in
1970. Following a three year period with Robertson Research as an exploration geochemist, he worked for six years as an
exploration geophysicist with the British Geological Survey. He joined A C A Howe in 1980, since when he has carried
out exploration and evaluation projects on a wide variety of commodities for clients in the Americas, East and Western
Europe, Africa and the Far East. His multidisciplinary background has proved particularly useful in the design,
implementation and assessment of exploration programmes in a variety of geological environments.
John Langlands BSc FGS FIMM CEng
Senior Geologist
John Langlands graduated in geology at the University of Edinburgh in 1969 and worked in mineral
exploration for two years with BHP in Australia and five years with Noranda in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He
spent a year with the contract core drilling subsidiary of Bos Kalis Westminster followed by a year of post-graduate
studies at the University of Edinburgh and gained a Diploma in Resource Management in 1980 when he joined A C A Howe
International Limited. Since then he has been involved in numerous exploration and evaluation projects concerned with
base and precious metals, industrial minerals, coal and coal bed methane and gemstones, in Europe, North and South
America, Africa, the Far East and the Russian Federation.

James Hogg BSc MSc
Senior Geologist
James Hogg gained a BSc (Hons) from Kingston University in 1993 and an MSc (with merit) in Mineral
Exploration from the University of Leicester in 1996. Since then he has spent 8 years working as an exploration and
resource development geologist in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, mainly focused on gold and nickel
mineralisation. During that time he was involved in the management of regional and near mine exploration projects,
involving large dataset manipulation and interpretation; target identification and prioritisation; geochemical,
geophysical and drill program design and implementation, and including involvement in the development of the +1Moz Au
resource at the Golden Feather project near Kalgoorlie and 0.5Moz Au laterite resource at Moolart Well north of
Laverton WA. James has gained an excellent knowledge in the formation and occurrence of structurally controlled gold
deposits and ultramafic flow hosted nickel sulphide deposits, regolith development and element mobility, effective deep
cover exploration and delineation techniques, GIS manipulation and 3D geological modeling. James returned to the UK in
May 2005 and commenced working with A C A Howe in June 2005.
Galen White BSc FGS MausIMM
Senior Geologist - Resources
Galen White gained a BSc (Hons) degree in geology from the University of Portsmouth in 1996 and has
completed MSc short courses in Structural Geology (University of Western Australia 1998). Prior to joining ACA Howe
International, Galen spent 9 years working in Australasia in a number of Exploration and Resource Development roles.
From 1996-2000 Galen worked in Western Australia as a Project Geologist for several junior mining companies and the WA
Geological Survey, planning and implementing exploration drilling and geochemical sampling programs, undertaking
geological and regolith mapping studies and compiling data for resource studies and project reviews. Galen has had
exposure to a variety of gold, nickel, base metal and mineral sand projects in Western Australia, New South Wales and
PNG and has a thorough understanding of deposit styles, in particular structurally controlled Archaean gold deposits
and lateritic Ni-Co deposits. Since 2000 Galen has been involved in Resource Development work, including Resource
Evaluation and Auditing, Geological and Structural Modelling, Geostatisitical Analysis and Resource Block Modelling for
a number of Archaean gold deposits in WA including the +1Moz Marvel Loch and +1Moz Sunrise Dam Underground Deposits.
Galen returned to the UK and commenced working with ACA Howe in November 2005.
Since 2005, Galen has been involved in numerous resource evaluation studies, audits and estimations covering gold, silver, copper, nickel, zinc, uranium, molybdenum and mineral sand projects in Australasia, South America, Africa, Europe and North America.
Mark Butcher BSc MSc FRGS
GIS Specialist
Mark Butcher gained a BSc (Hons) in Geographical Science from the University of Portsmouth in 2004,
and gained an MSc in Geographical Information Systems, in 2007. Having specialised in remote sensing,
geomorphology, and data management and manipulation, a Masters in GIS developed software skills and database management
techniques. Mark has expanded Howe’s GIS capabilities to include digitising, spatial analysis, data verification and
modelling, cartography, and dataset creation for Gold, Copper and Uranium projects. Mark joined ACA Howe in
November 2005.
Leon McGarry BSc
Geologist
Leon McGarry graduated from Brunel University in 2005 with a BSc (Hons) in Earth Science and a Diploma in Professional Development. Prior to joining ACA Howe in 2007, Leon worked in Australia in a variety of roles developing his knowledge of the mineral exploration industry. As a Junior Geologist for a successful grassroots exploration company, Leon gained exposure to a variety of projects within the Gawler Craton region in South Australia focusing on Epithermal Gold-Silver and Base Metals and Sedimentary Uranium. Whilst working with the leading provider of GPS positioned gravity surveys in Australia, Leon undertook both large and small scale geophysical survey projects for private and government organizations.

Eric Peters BSc MIMM
Senior Associate Geologist
Prior to joining A C A Howe International Eric worked for organizations such as the National Remote
Sensing Centre and Australian Photogeological Consultants Pty Ltd. Since joining ACA Howe Eric has also spent time
looking at remote sensing and satellite image interpretation in areas such as UK, Mali, Malawi and Ghana.
Andrew Phillips BSc MSc MIMM CEng FGS PrSciNat
Senior Associate Geologist
Andrew Phillips graduated BSc (Hons) from Rhodes University in 1972 and MSc from the University of
the Witwatersrand in 1983. He worked for several South African majors and reached senior status in both the mining and
exploration arenas. He became a partner in a mining engineering practice (1982-86). He has wide experience in economic
geology and mining analysis on base and precious metal, precious stone, coal and some industrial mineral deposits. He
has carried out assignments for A C A Howe since March 1996 in Guinea, South Africa, Malaysia, Mexico, Iceland, Russia
and Saudi Arabia.
Julian Bennett C Eng
Senior Associate Mining Engineer
Julian Bennett gained a BSc (Engineering) in mining from Imperial College, London in 1964. He is a
widely experienced mining professional with over 40 years in the industry. His career has covered the following: mining
engineering, mine design, mine planning, mine operations, mine construction, mining consultancy and mine management. He
has worked in bauxite, copper, cobalt, gold, chrome, iron ore, nickel, and lead and zinc. He has experience of open pit
and underground mining. His career has taken him to Europe, West, Central and Southern Africa, North, Central and South
America, Central Asia and Australia. Specific countries include Angola, Australia, Canada, Chile, Democratic Republic
of Congo, Ghana, Guyana, Honduras, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Lesotho, Macedonia, Peru, Republic of South Africa, Russia,
Serbia, Turkey, Uganda, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Con Gillen BSc, FGS, BA, Med, PhD, C Geol
Senior Associate Geologist and Translator
Cornelius Gillen (Con) has many qualifications in the Geological and translating sectors including
PhD in Structural Geology and Metamorphic Petrology (1977) and Translators Guild Professional Diploma with Distinction
in Russian and Geology (1981). Con has over 25 years of experience as a technical translator of geological publications
from Russian to French and Russian to English.
Rick Parker BSc
Senior Associate Geologist
Rick graduated from Newcastle University in 1968 having achieved a BSc in Geology and then later
returned in 1993 to complete a diploma in Hydrogeology. Before becoming a Senior Associate Geologist for A C A Howe
International, Rick previously worked for companies such as Northgate Exploration Ltd, Cluff Mineral Exploration and
Emnex International plc and has spent time in locations such as Peru, Yemen, Niger, Ghana and Mali. Rick has carried
out assignments for Howe in Ghana, Peru, Ecuador, Niger, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ethiopia, Azerbaijan, Papua New Guinea,
Botswana, Botswana and Mozambique.
Tony Jackson BSc, MIMM, ARSM
Associate Consultant Metallurgist
Tony gained an honors degree in Mineral Processing in 1980 from the Royal School Of Mines and over
the years has achieved particular experience in froth flotation, dense media separation and gravity. Prior to A C A
Howe International, Tony had placements with companies such as Anglo-European Minerals, Europa Mining and Ashover
Mining.
Mike Foster BSc AusIMM
Senior Associate Geologist
Mike Foster graduated in geology from the University of Tasmania in 1964, commencing exploration work with BHP followed by five years with Pickands Mather International working on a regional geological / stream geochemical survey in northern Western Australia. After working with Mt Lyell he became consultant/ contractor in Kalgoorlie and Perth, servicing clients evaluating and conducting exploration projects, concentrating on nickel and gold. He then worked for Hamersley Iron followed by a five year period spent as local manager/ registered mine manager for Hampton Gold Mining Areas, before returning to consulting and contracting on gold and nickel including a two year contract for Porphyry Gold mines. At Mt Keith, WA., he was part of the team which re-logged 20 years of past and current core/ RC drilling to emerging nickel ore deposition theory, for database compilation.
He continued as a consultant until forming a company which led to his current residence in the Philippines, where, he has, for the past ten years, concentrated on Kuroko type multi element prospects/mines, epithermal vein gold, copper-gold porphyry deposits, chromite and industrial minerals.
Since joining Howe in 2007, he has reported on a copper gold porphyry deposit in the Philippines Cordilerra and is supervising a grass roots exploration programme on an active tungsten mine in northern Thailand.

Felix N.F. Lee BSc MBA PGeo
Operations Manager – Senior Geologist
Mr. Lee has been a consulting geologist for A.C.A. Howe International Limited since 1991 and most
recently was been appointed Operations Manager for Howe’s Toronto and Denver offices. Mr. Lee is an economic /
exploration geologist with varied and extensive experience in initiating, developing, conducting and supervising all
phases of mineral exploration projects located in North and South America and Africa. Mr. Lee has also completed
several evaluation and valuation technical reports that conform to National Instrument 43-101 and former National
Policy 2A standards.
Mr. Lee holds a B.Sc. degree from McMaster University and an M.B.A. degree from the Kellogg School
of Management, Northwestern University, and the Schulich School of Business, York University. Mr Lee is a registered
member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO), member of the Association of Professional
Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS), member of the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG), and a member
of the Prospectors and Developers Association.
Daniel C. Leroux BSc PGeo.
Senior Geologist
Mr. Leroux has practiced as an economic geologist with both major exploration / mining companies
and since 1993 as a consulting geologist with A.C.A. Howe International Limited. Throughout Mr. Leroux’s 15 year
career, he has been directly involved in the generation, development and management of many projects ranging from
conceptual stages through to advanced and partially developed prospects / deposits. Mr. Leroux has gained a broad
range of hands on experience that covers a wide array of commodities, geological, geographical and operational
settings. He has designed, managed and worked on numerous grass-roots and / or advanced surface and underground
exploration projects for precious metals, alluvial and primary diamond deposits, and for industrial minerals located in
Canada, Africa, Europe and South America.
Mr. Leroux also has extensive commissioning, operational and supervision experience with various
gravity concentration diamond process plant types such as jig plants, rotary pan plants, DMS plants and diamond
recovery equipment such as Flow Sort® X-Ray diamond recovery machines and grease tables.
Mr. Leroux holds a B.Sc. degree (Geology) from Laurentian University and is an M.Sc. candidate with
Laurentian University’s Mineral Exploration program. Mr. Leroux is a registered member of the Association of

Mr. Comeau has been a consulting geologist for A.C.A. Howe International Limited since 1990. He is

supervising all phases of efficient and successful mineral exploration, ore reserve audits and calculations and
valuations. Throughout Mr. Comeau’s 30 year career, he has been directly involved in the evaluation of a number of
advanced mineral projects, including ore reserve audits, economic evaluations and legal negotiations.
Prior to joining A.C.A. Howe International Limited, Mr. Comeau was employed as Exploration Manager-
Eastern Canada for Total Energold Corp. from 1988-1990. From 1986–1988, Mr. Comeau was Exploration Manager–Canada for
Getty Resources Limited and from 1973–1986, he held various high profile positions with Getty Mines Limited. From
1972–1973, Mr. Comeau was Exploration Geologist–Eastern Canada for Imperial Oil Enterprises and from 1968-1969, he was
an Exploration Geologist for American Smelting and Refining Company.
Mr. Comeau holds a B.Sc. degree from Dalhousie University and a M.Sc. degree from Memorial

Mr. George has been a consulting geologist for A.C.A. Howe International Limited since 2005. He is
an economic/exploration geologist with varied and extensive experience in initiating, developing, conducting and
supervising all phases of efficient and successful mineral exploration, ore reserve audits and calculations and
valuations. Throughout Mr. George’s 39 year career, he has been directly involved in the evaluation of a number of
advanced mineral projects, including ore reserve audits, economic evaluations and legal negotiations.
Mr. George’s exploration experience covers all major commodity deposit types: volcanogenic base and
precious metals, Mississippi Valley – type stratabound zinc-lead, lode gold, epithermal gold, porphyry
copper-molybdenum, Athabaska basin and Elliot Lake type uranium deposits.
Prior to re-joining A.C.A. Howe International Limited, Mr. George was employed from 2002 to 2005 as
a Consulting Geologist / Executive for ONTZINC Corporation. From 1996 – 2002, Mr. George was employed as an Associate
Consulting Geologist with A.C.A. Howe International Limited. From 1988 – 1995, Mr. George was Vice President –
Operations for Laurasia Resources Limited and from 1987 – 1988, was President of Zahavy Mines Limited. From 1979 –
1985, Mr. George was Senior Geologist – Eastern Canada for Getty Mines Limited. From the period 1968 – 1979, Mr.
George owned and operated several geological and geophysical consulting firms. From 1966 – 1968, Mr. George was
employed as a Field Geologist and Resident Geologist with the Ontario Department of Mines and from 1960 to 1965, he was
employed as a junior geological assistant for both the Geological Survey of Canada and the Ontario Department of Mines

Robert M. Kuehnbaum MSc PGeo.
Senior Associate Geologist
Mr. Kuehnbaum has been a consulting geologist for 20 years of his 32-year career in mineral
exploration, and has been an Associate for A.C.A. Howe International Limited since 1995. He is an economic geologist
with varied and extensive experience in initiating, developing, conducting and supervising all phases of mineral
exploration from grass-roots to deposit delineation, mineral resource estimation, numerous property/project evaluations
and valuations, and legal negotiations. He has also been involved in extensive reviews of mineral exploration data.
Mr. Kuehnbaum was employed as a geologist with Union Carbide Exploration Corporation in Canada,
Brazil and Portugal between 1974 and 1980. As Project Manager with Canadian Occidental Petroleum Ltd. between 1980 and
1984, he was responsible for the company’s extensive mineral landholdings, in the Canadian Cordillera, including
project supervision and generation. From 1984-1986, he was employed by Kennco Explorations, (Canada) Ltd. with
responsibilities of the company’s precious metals (gold) exploration projects in Ontario, western Canada and the
Maritime provinces. In early 1986, Mr. Kuehnbaum established his own consulting practice. Over the years, he has
acquired experience in tungsten, base metals (including copper-nickel-PGEs), gold, silver, diamonds, uranium, and
industrial minerals.
Mr. Kuehnbaum holds both a B.Sc. degree and M.Sc. degree from the University of Toronto, Canada.
He is a registered member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) and the Association of

Michael Newbury MPEng
Associate Geologist – Resource Reserve Expert
Mr. Newbury has been a consulting geologist for A.C.A. Howe International Limited since 2004. Mr.
Newbury is a natural resources expert, professional engineer, investment banker and project finance specialist with 30
year's experience in the operation, financing and evaluation of natural resource project primarily mining. Mr.
Newbury’s education combines mining technical expertise and financial engineering capabilities to evaluate and assess
projects, corporate develop plans and financial structures to manage project risks that are important for mergers and
acquisitions, divestments and equity and debt financings.
Mr. Newbury brings considerable experience in the evaluation of mining projects, optimization of
operations, management of technical due diligence programs, managing and review of feasibility studies. Mr. Newbury is
a Qualified Person with experience in the preparation of reports under National Instrument 43-101 (Canada), AIM (UK),
JORC (Australia) and SAMRAC (South Africa). Extensive expertise in the evaluation and financial structuring of
projects internationally in countries including South America, South Africa, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Costa Rica
and Venezuela.
Mr. Newbury holds an Honours B.Sc. degree in Economic Geology from Queen’s University and a M.Sc.
degree in Mining from McGill University. Mr. Newbury is a registered member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), a

Bruce S. Brady PEng

Mr. Brady has been a consulting mining engineer for A.C.A. Howe International Limited since 1999.
Mr. Brady is a mining engineer with 32 years of experience in operations, engineering, and management in underground
and open pit operations in Africa and Canada. In addition, he has been consulting worldwide for over 10 years. A
former mine manager, Mr. Brady has extensive experience in mine design, budgeting and cost control, due diligence,
preparation of feasibility studies, and preparation of qualifying reports. He specializes in precious metals, base
metals, industrial minerals, and iron ore.
Prior to joining A.C.A. Howe International Limited, Mr. Brady was employed as Superintendent –
Mining Engineering for Canadian Refractories – Dresser Canada Inc. from 1980-1993. From 1976 – 1980, Mr. Brady held
various positions with the Iron Ore Company of Canada’s operations in Schefferville. From 1972 – 1976, Mr. Brady held
numerous positions at Roan Consolidated Mines Limited’s Kalulushi undergroung copper mine located in Zambia.
Mr. Brady holds a B.Eng. degree from McGill University. Mr. Brady is a registered member of
Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) and the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ), a member of the Canadian Institute of
Mining and Metallurgy (CIM), and the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME).
Al Hayden PEng
Associate Metallurgical Engineer
Mr. Hayden has been a consulting mining engineer for A.C.A. Howe International Limited since 2002.
Mr. Hayden is a metallurgical engineer with 35 years of experience in operations, engineering, and management in
underground and open pit operations in Africa and Canada. In addition, he has been consulting worldwide for over 10
years. A former mine manager, Mr. Hayden has extensive experience in mine design, budgeting and cost control, due
diligence, preparation of feasibility studies, and preparation of qualifying reports. He specializes in precious
metals, base metals, industrial minerals, and iron ore.
Mr. Hayden holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the
University of British Columbia. Mr. Hayden is a registered member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) and a member
of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CIM),.
Sherri Hodder PGeo
Associate Geologist
Ms. Hodder has been a consulting geologist since 2003 and joined A.C.A Howe International in 2005.
She is an economic/exploration geologist with experience at the grassroots level in diamond, gold and base metal
projects. Ms. Hodder has experience initiating, conducting and supervising at the early phases of mineral exploration
and specializes in diamond exploration/evaluation, and prior to joining Howe, Ms. Hodder was directly involved with
several high-potential diamond exploration projects in Alberta, Ontario, Nunavut and NWT.
Ms. Hodder holds a joint B.Sc. degree in Geology/Geography (Honors/Geology) from Memorial
University of Newfoundland (1997) and a M.Sc. degree from the University of Calgary with a Specialization in Economic
Geology (2003). Ms. Hodder is a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), Canadian
Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CIM) and the Calgary Mineral Exploration Group (MEG) .
Arshia (Ash) Mantashi BA PGCGIS
GIS Specialist
The newest member of the A.C.A. Howe International team is Mr. Mantashi, a database and geographic
information systems (GIS) specialist. Prior to joining A.C.A. Howe in early 2006, Mr. Mantashi has worked on several
advanced GIS and remote sensing projects in Canada, Peru, and Brazil. His main responsibilities included data analysis,
technical support and training, satellite image interpretation, project coordination, and project management.
Mr. Mantashi hold a B.A. degree in Environmental Studies from Carleton University, and holds
certificates in Geographical Information Systems from the Niagara College of Technology, and Database and Data Analysis
from the Toronto College of Technology.
David Howe
Metallurgical Technician
Graduate of the Millwright course in 1990 at Cambrian College Sudbury, Ontario. Since graduation
Mr. Howe has worked at several mining operations including heap leach for gold in Nevada (American Resources), Alluvial
Diamonds in the Central African Republic (United Reef, Vaaldiam) and exploration projects in California, Ontario and
Saskatchewan. Mr. Howe has extensive experience with diamond process plant operations including the operation and
maintenance of a Flowsort ® Diamond Sorting machine.

Steve Priesmeyer MSc CPG
Consulting Geologist
Mr. Priesmeyer has been a consulting geologist for A.C.A. Howe International Limited since 2004.
He is an economic / exploration geologist with varied and extensive experience in initiating, developing, conducting
and supervising all phases of mineral exploration and carrying out resource estimations on gold and base metal
deposits. Prior to joining A.C.A. Howe International Limited, Mr. Priesmeyer was employed as a Senior Project
Geologist for Monarch as well as being the Manager of A.C.A. Howe International’s Denver office from 1988-1994.
Mr. Priesmeyer’s geological work experiences encompass a variety of deposit types and environments
such as Archean - Proterozoic age lode and / or shear hosted gold, epithermal gold, porphyry Cu-Au, placer gold and
coal bed methane deposits. Mr. Priesmeyer has also worked on various projects involving the resource estimation of
gold, base metal and coal bed methane deposits.
Mr. Priesmeyer holds a B.Sc. Geology degree from Fort Lewis College, Durango Colorado and a M.Sc
Geology degree from the University of Idaho, Moscow Idaho. Mr. Priesmeyer is a Certified Professional Geologist
(C.P.G.) with the American Institute of Professional Geoscientists, a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and
Exploration (SME), member of the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists, member of the Denver Region Exploration
Geologists Society and member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
